FYI: Changes at the Post Office
This is important: USPS recently changed its policies and won’t always postmark mail the same day it’s picked up from a mailbox — or even the day after. To guarantee a same-day postmark, you’ll need to go to a post office and ask for a manual postmark. All the more reason to mail things early!
Instructions
Put your ballot in the secrecy sleeve provided.
Put that little bundle inside the return envelope provided.
Sign envelope where indicated and seal it up!
Put a stamp on it if you’re going to mail it.
Ballots can be dropped off directly with your county clerk. Click here to find your county clerk and the most convenient drop off location for you. You can pop your ballot in the mail, but you should do that by October 27th to give it enough time to arrive. Your ballot must be received by the County Clerk by 8pm on Election Day, so get ‘em in early!
DO NOT take your absentee ballot to your polling place — they might accept it there, but it is not guaranteed to make it to its final destination on time.
