you can vote by mail if you
Are registered to vote by October 6th (by mail or in person) or October 21st at 5pm (online). All voters registered by the deadline will receive a ballot in the mail.

Deadlines
You must be registered to vote by October 6th (by mail or in person) or October 21st at 5pm (online) to get a mail ballot. If you miss this deadline, you can still register online (or use the in-person same-day registration process) if you have an appropriate ID, but you’ll need to vote in person.
Ballots must be postmarked by Election Day — but don’t wait that long!
FYI: Changes at the Post Office
This is important: USPS recently changed its policies and won’t always postmark mail the same day it’s picked up from a mailbox — or even the day after. To guarantee a same-day postmark, you’ll need to go to a post office and ask for a manual postmark. All the more reason to mail things early!
Instructions
If you’re voting for the first time in Nevada, you might need to submit some form of ID with your ballot. If that’s you, you’ll get instructions with your ballot package.
Some counties provide a security envelope for you to put your ballot in. If they sent you one, put your ballot in it and sign that envelope where indicated.
Put the security envelope (or just your ballot, if you didn’t get one) in the return envelope and sign that where indicated.
Your signature should match your registration.
If you want to mail your ballot, make sure it’s postmarked by Election Day, November 3rd. No need to put a stamp on it — The Silver State pays your postage for you!
Or you can take it to a ballot drop site in your area.
Or you can drop it off at your polling place on Election Day. Someone can drop it off for you if you want.
